I ordered the sweet and spicy salmon bites, and they were absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just the right balance of sweet and heat. The salmon was tender and juicy, with a glaze that kept me going back for bite after bite. The presentation was beautiful too, even in a to-go box, and the portion size was generous. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they put a lot of care into their food and service. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on taste, quality, and value like this. If you’re looking for something delicious and different in Houston, do yourself a favor and stop by Krack Kitchen. This place deserves way more recognition — it’s definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again and again.

I ordered the Lamb Chop Rasta Pasta & to say it was delicious doesn't do it justice...it was amazing! The lamb was seasoned, and it was tender & juicy. The pasta sauce was so creamy & flavorful & the shrimp were so BIG. There's also chicken In there that was sooo good! 10/10! The owner was very nice as well.

2nd time visiting this place and of course the food was excellent. I tried the Catfish & Shrimp plate and it was some of the best Catfish I've had...and I've had alot of good Catfish. The fish along with the shrimp were SEASONED & fried to perfection. The Mac & Cheese...I don't know what they put in it but.... You won't regret. The greens were perfect. ⭐ P.S They do cook to order, so that means the food is FRESH Little bit of a wait time, but worth it!

When have you ever seen a 4.5 rating for a place to eat INSIDE of a gas station? Well, let this be your first! We were looking for a place to eat fried fish yesterday for my father-in-law & saw this place on a Google search that had excellent reviews. The good experience begins with meeting David, the owner & chef, at the counter. He is friendly, helpful & loves to talk about Louisiana cooking. He is excited about it. You can’t beat food from someone who cooks that is passionate about what they serve. When he told me about his generational history of family chefs cooking for famous places in New Orleans I knew this had to be good. The menu is not extensive as yet but more dishes are added seasonally and still more will be in time. He just came out of a food truck & is still growing. I ordered Mardi Gras Pasta which was comprised of a lot of shrimp, juicy chicken, & a Louisiana brand sausage on top of pasta covered with a rich creamy sauce with lots of seasoning & flavor. Enough for 2. My wife got the Fried Fish & Grits. I’ll get back to the fish in a minute. Let’s talk grits. I’m known for making my Mama’s recipe & am asked to make it by everyone who has had breakfast at our house. I love her grits, the taste & memories it brings. It’s a Southern thing. David’s grits, however, were so much better than mine. They’re good enough to stand on their own as an entree. There are flavors in it that I can’t identify but would love to duplicate. Amid the sea-sized portion of grits was a large filet of Fried Fish described below. The plate was big enough to share & my wife reluctantly did. Our final dish was Fried Fish which was an option of the menu item that could have included shrimp. The filets were a generous portion of large, juicy, tender, delicately battered & fried fish that rivaled any place I’ve ever had it. Of course it was seasoned like you grew up with, that is if you grew up in Louisiana. Definitely big enough to share but only if you like the other people at your table and even then…maybe not. Oh yeah, we got a side order of Gambino’s friend bread toasted with butter. What’s a “Gambino’s”? It’s a famous bakery in New Orleans with REAL French bread. David has it brought in. Such a fine detail! This was the best meal I can remember having in a styrofoam box which meant taking home the leftovers (and there were plenty) was a snap. High points: Louisiana-style cooking, out-of-the-ordinary dishes, HUGE portions you can share, & meeting David the chef/owner. Low points: …I’ll have to get back to you if I can think of any.

The atmosphere is always welcoming, like family. The price-to-portion ratio is crazy — me and my wife literally have to share every time because they load that plate up. We have standards, and we’re realistic, but these folks cook like their whole business depends on quality… and you can taste it in every bite. They genuinely go out of their way to take care of their customers. DoorDash is the move — they’re not on Uber Eats, but DoorDash lets you be specific with your order, and they’re surprisingly fast and consistent. For a New Orleans-style popup inside a gas station, they’re making a real positive impact here in Houston. The food, the service, the vibe — it all feels authentic. Every time I leave, I tell them the same thing: “Do me a favor fam… don’t change anything.”

I loved my food. The Lamb chops was seasoned well. My husband said his plate was small and didn't look like the picture he saw on TikTok. We also got 2 order if wings.

Krack Kitchen is a remarkable culinary gem tucked inside a gas station at 1600 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX. Despite its unconventional location, this spot delivers a genuine taste of Louisiana with passion and authenticity that's hard to find elsewhere in Houston. The owner and chef, David, carries a rich family heritage of New Orleans cooking, which shines through every dish.

The menu, while still growing, offers standout items that scream flavor and quality. The sweet and spicy salmon bites are a perfect harmony of tender, juicy fish glazed with a vibrant sweet-heat balance that keeps you coming back. For those craving hearty flavors, the Lamb Chop Rasta Pasta dazzles with tender lamb, creamy sauce, plump shrimp, and tasty chicken, melding Caribbean and Creole influences beautifully.

The Catfish & Shrimp plate is a revelation—seasoned and fried to golden perfection, paired with Mac & Cheese that has a secret touch making it irresistibly creamy. The Fried Fish & Grits take Southern soul food to another level, with grits so rich and flavorful they could stand as a dish on their own. David’s attention to detail extends even to the sides, like the authentic Gambino’s French bread from New Orleans, a subtle but telling sign of dedication to quality.

Service at Krack Kitchen is equally noteworthy—friendly, attentive, and genuine. The atmosphere feels like dining with family, with generous portions that encourage sharing and create a communal vibe. It’s rare to find such harmony of taste, presentation, portion size, and price, especially at a place still evolving beyond its food truck roots.

In essence, Krack Kitchen is not just a meal but an experience that honors tradition while inviting new culinary adventures. For anyone seeking bold, soulful dishes with authentic Southern flare in the Houston area, this kitchen is a must-visit. It stands as a beacon of passion-driven cooking that transforms humble ingredients into unforgettable meals.
